Study Abroad Program Through Drama

As a Drama student, there are two ways to go abroad, either through the NYU Office of Global Programs or through Tisch Special Programs.  Both offices offer abroad opportunities in the Fall, Spring and Summer Terms and both accept applications from students who are not matriculating at New York University.

The NYU Office of Global Programs develops and facilitates study abroad opportunities with students from all NYU schools in mind.  With the NYU Office of Global Programs Drama students may take courses that fulfill Humanities, Science, Elective and, in some cases, Theatre Studies credit.  For program information and to apply, visit the NYU Office of Global Programs located at 110 East 14th Street, Lower Level in University Hall or explore their website at http://www.nyu.edu/studyabroad.

Tisch Special Programs organizes programs with Tisch students in mind. With Tisch Special Programs Drama students may take courses that fulfill Additional Professional Training, Theatre Studies, Humanities and Elective credit.  For program information and to apply visit the Tisch Special Programs offices located on the 12th Floor of 721 Broadway or explore their website at the Tisch Special Programs link on the right hand side of this page.

Drama students must complete their Primary Training and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to study abroad.

Researching study abroad opportunities can begin at anytime during your career.  Be sure to read the above websites thoroughly and consult your advisor when planning a semester overseas.

Application deadlines for both NYU Office of Global Programs and Tisch Special Programs abroad opportunities are early in the term prior to the proposed abroad semester.  Check the websites to determine exact application due dates and apply as early as possible.  Popular destinations receive more applications from qualified students than they have places available.
