Three members of the NYU Grad Film community are among the twelve film-makers selected to take part in the prestigious Sundance Labs in June.
Andrew Okpeaha Maclean, a recent graduate, will be attending the Directors Lab with his project 'On The Ice', a feature development of his NYU thesis short film 'Sikumi' - which won the Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
Keith Davis, a current thesis student, has been selected to attend the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, with his feature project 'The American People'.
In addition, Ritesh Batra - one of the first students on the new dual MBA / Grad Film producing program - has been awarded a Sundance Institute Time Warner Storytelling Fellowship, in support of his feature project 'The Story of Ran', and will also be attending the Directors Lab. He and the other students of the dual degree program have just completed their first year at the Stern Business School, and will join the Graduate Film program as producers in the second year.
